HDI GLOBAL: reaching out to SMEs by leveraging K. Semertzoglou’s experience

Starting 1 July 2023, once supervisory authority procedures have been completed, it is expected that Konstantinos Semertzoglou will become general manager and legal representative for HDI Global’s branch in Greece. His predecessor, Notis Vagiakakos, will be retiring after successfully heading up the branch for nearly 20 years.

Mr Semertzoglou is already part of HDI Global’s executive staff, since 1 April 2023. Mr Vagiakakos will work with him during a transitional period so together they can ensure a smooth management change. Conditional on approvals by the competent regulatory authorities, Mr Semertzoglou will assume leadership of the Greek branch 1 July 2023. Mr Vagiakakos will then continue as a management consultant.

David Hullin, a member of the HDI Global Board of Directors and responsible for international markets, referred to the change in management: “I would like to thank Notis for his great commitment to HDI Global. With his expertise, he was essential to the very successful growth of the Greek branch. I wish him the best in his retirement.”

Mr Semertzoglou joins HDI Global after a successful career at Groupama Insurance, where he was Commercial Director responsible for the entire sales network and customer service. For more than 25 years, he has held positions of responsibility on the Greek insurance market and created strong relationships with a large network of brokers specialising in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. “We are very happy, as Konstantinos joins the HDI team as an experienced expert. With his broad knowledge of sales and SMEs, we believe he is the right person to successfully achieve our growth in this significant market segment. I wish him every success in his new role,” said Mr Hullin.

“I am very happy to be joining the HDI Global team and with my new duties, I will ensure the successful implementation of the company’s strategy, particularly for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. This segment of the Greek market is very promising for both HDI and for our customers and partners. Together with my experienced team at HDI, we will plan personalised solutions for customers and continue to be a reliable partner for Greek industry,” said Mr Semertzoglou.
