Interamerican and the online insurance broker, moneymarket S.A., known by its trade name insurancemarket.gr, are taking their long-term strategic partnership to another level through Interamerican S.A.’s acquisition of all of moneymarket S.A.’s share capital.
The two companies are leading forces in their respective fields as regards innovation, know-how and their orientation towards digital infrastructure, and are both synonymous with direct and online insurance in Greece. The shared goal of this partnership, which began in 2013, is to optimise the buying experience of consumers through the ability to make direct comparisons, as well as to further expand the digital distribution of insurance services in Greece.
With this investment, Interamerican is highlighting its long-term commitment to developing innovative services and to the digital transformation of the insurance industry. It gives a vote of confidence to digital distribution channels which have prevailed in the most developed markets in Europe. Through this partnership, insurancemarket.gr aims to further develop its digital infrastructure and be able to offer new, innovative services to benefit consumers and cooperating insurance companies and brokers.
Moneymarket S.A. will remain absolutely autonomous and independent and continue to provide objective and transparent services to consumers and all associated insurance companies. To ensure its independence, the three founders of moneymarket S.A. (Sotiris Papantonopoulos-Mantopoulos, Manolis Marsellos and Fotis Zantzas) will continue to hold the majority seats on the Board of Directors, with absolute autonomy in trade-related decision-making and company management. Additionally, the autonomy of moneymarket S.A. will be safeguarded by the Supervisory Committee.
