Konstantinos Semertzoglou heads HDI Global Hellas

Konstantinos Semertzoglou, until now the commercial director at Groupama Insurance, will take up the duties of general manager at HDI Global Hellas effective 3 April. He replaces Notis Vagiakakos, who has held the position since 2004 and will be retiring 1 July.

It is noted that the Greek branch of HDI Global SE is a regional centre for the broader area, with jurisdiction for developing operations and managing the company’s portfolio in Greece, the Balkans and the South-eastern Mediterranean.

The commercial director position at Groupama Insurance will be assumed by Evangelos Oikonomopoulos, who is one of several very promising and exceptional new executives at the company. Until now, Mr Oikonomopoulos was head of Strategy and Product Development and was Dimitris Tatarakis’ right hand.

The general manager and legal representative of HDI Global Hellas, Mr Vagiakakos, said. “I am very pleased to reliably inform the industry that our company will welcome Konstantinos Semertzoglou, a distinguished executive in our market, to the ranks of the senior management team at HDI Global SE Hellas, starting in early April 2023. We will work closely with Konstantinos so that, on condition of receiving the relevant regulatory approvals in due time – we estimate within the first six months of 2023, he will assume the legal representation and duties of general manager of the company’s Greek branch. I will work alongside Konstantinos until the end of 2023 so we can jointly ensure the smooth transition of the Greek branch’s management to the new era.”
