The process of the NN Group’s acquisition of MetLife’s business activities in Greece was completed on 31 January, following the approvals of the regulatory authorities and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition.
This acquisition further strengthens NN’s position on the Greek market and is expected to create the largest company in that country’s insurance sector. Additionally, it will offer more opportunities for growth and enhance NN’s distribution potential.
MetLife will be incorporated into NN Hellas, guided by the values “We Care, We are Clear, We Commit”, focusing on policyholders and Greek society.
President and CEO of NN Hellas Marianna Politopoulou will assume the position of president and CEO of MetLife in Greece, which now becomes a member of the NN Group.
CEO for International Insurance of the ΝΝ Group, Fabian Rupprecht, said:

The completed acquisition of MetLife’s activities in Greece will increase our size, creating a leading insurance company in that country. President and CEO of NN Hellas and MetLife Ms Politopoulou also said: “Today is a milestone in the history of NN in Greece.
