Groupama Insurance has been a leader in group pension plans (DAF) for years, while also enjoying a growing presence in group life and health insurance plans.
Steadfastly focused on digitising its services, Groupama Insurance has emphasised the upgrading of its services to policyholders/employees and the use of tools and applications to provide directly personal service. An equally important factor in achieving its immediate business goals, but mainly in charting the company’s strategy for the future, was the recruitment of outstanding, experienced executives who help strengthen both the sales team and the technical division.
Its reorganisation began in 2019 with the addition of Efthymios Salouros, who has years of experience in sales at multinational corporations and insurance companies and assumed the position of head of sales for Group Life and Health Insurance. From 2003 to 2014, he worked with the Toyota Hellas Group, rising to operations manager in the motor sector of the British Providence insurance arm of the same group. Since 2014 and until joining Groupama Insurance, he worked with Generali Hellas to develop the group insurance sales network. Mr Salouros is a graduate of Staffordshire University, with a BA (Hons) in Business Enterprise and MSc in Computing Science, and a PhD in Business Administration from Leicester University.
In January 2021, the Groupama Insurance team was joined by Filippos Maragos, an executive with long and well-rounded experience in insurance, who was appointed director of Group Insurance. Mr Maragos began his career at International Life as a motor insurance underwriter and in 2007, began working at MetLife Greece, initially as a group insurance underwriter and later moving to sales promotion for Group Life-Health and Pension plans. He is a graduate of Middlesex University with a BSc (Hons) in Banking and Finance and an MSc in Investment and Finance.
More recently, another well-respected executive in the Greek insurance industry, Mary Mavrommati, joined the Group Life-Health and Pension Plan sales team in September 2021 as Key Account Manager. Ms Mavrommati worked at MetLife Greece from 2004 to 2014, initially in Bancassurance and then in Group Sales. Since 2014 and until joining Groupama Insurance, she worked at Generali Hellas as an inspector in Group Life Insurance Sales. She is a graduate of the University of Portsmouth with a BA (Hons) in Business Economics and an MSc in Business Economics, Finance and Banking.
