Level change for Interamerican’s group health insurance

Interamerican is changing the playing field of group health insurance with dynamic, innovative solutions for policyholders. The company now has approximately 1,000 corporate clients representing a broad spectrum of businesses and enjoys a high retention rate based on a relationship of ongoing trust.

Interamerican strives to create added value for the companies that place their faith in it and to that end, it introduced in 2020 the new Managed Care Plan (MCP) for group life and health insurance. The plans have so far registered impressive results, drawing the attention of multiple businesses and associates from the distribution networks. With the Managed Care Plan, the company provides comprehensive health management for employees, relying on a pillar of privately owned healthcare infrastructure, in combination with other hospitals and primary care networks. One feature of MCP is a reduced cost of insurance and plan sustainability, while maintaining a high level of benefits and service for policyholders. According to results of a survey that Interamerican regularly conducts, policyholder satisfaction with the quality of services provided is significantly higher than international standards, while the Net Promoter Score (NPS), mainly measuring intent to recommend the company to others, comes to 49.7 for the contracting companies.

With this as the foundation, Interamerican is now launching an enhanced option: the new Managed Care Plan PLUS. The new plan offers exactly the same advantages of the MCP at a particularly competitive price, expanding the list of cooperating hospitals in Attica, and includes full coverage at Athinaiki Mediclinic for policyholders.

Additionally, all of its policies:

* Provide personalised service to subscribers, with all possible options for sending supporting documents to the company (by personal folders, by e-mail through the associated broker or by the policyholders themselves). In other words, every policyholder can select the most convenient way to send documents, through simplified procedures.

* Introduced a second-opinion service from Best Doctors, a global network with more than 53,000 leading medical specialists in 430 fields and sub-fields. This service allows every policyholder, with one call to the 1010 Healthline, to seek a second opinion from the best doctors in the world about the diagnosis they have received or the treatment recommended to them.

To ensure that policyholders are fully covered now and in the future, Interamerican offers a new individual insurance product. This program is part of the bewell system and is aimed at subscribers with a group health insurance policy, not only with Interamerican but with any other insurance company. The new bewell individual health plan was designed especially for subscribers to group policies and was created to reinforce coverage at an individual level, providing a wide range of hospital care, up to €1,000,000.

Subscribers can choose the contribution amount, which covers the group policy, and to continue insurance coverage any time they leave the group policy to any combination of the bewell system, without a health re-check, i.e. retaining insurability. The new individual bewell provides subscribers full flexibility with numerous options for coverage plans. The right to convert insurance from a group to individual plan can be activated at any age after the person leaves the group policy and without restrictions on retaining the individual policy. The new individual bewell plan includes additional emergency medical assistance and check-ups, and applies to family dependants with family discounts. It can also be combined with any other existing bewell plan on the same policy, both while the group policy is still in effect and after the subscriber withdraws from it.
