The departure of Margarita Antonaki as General Manager of the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies (HAIC) was announced at the Association’s Board of Directors meeting on 28 January 2022.
After a successful career of 27 years in general management at HAIC and 50 years in total in the insurance industry, Ms Antonaki has decided to retire. The HAIC Board of Directors unanimously thanked Ms Antonaki for her long years of service to the Association and the private insurance industry.
The position of HAIC General Manager will be assumed on 1/4/2022 by Elina Papaspyropoulou. Ms Papaspyropoulou is a distinguished executive with more than 25 years’ experience in insurance. A graduate of the Athens University Law School, she has held numerous positions of responsibility on the Greek insurance market.
Ms Antonaki will remain at HAIC for six months after the new General Manager takes up the position to ensure a smooth transition.
